VMware Data Recovery(vdr)重复进行完整性检查

今天接到客户电话说VDR备份有问题,总是进行完整性检查,一次检查要3天以上,错误日志如下
已经按照vmware KB

问题依旧。

Thanks so much! That let me run the Integrity check. I don't know if this means my overall problems are fixed.


My problems were that after a couple weeks of working, the Integrity check was hanging at 56% for 3 days.


I had opened a support case (SR# 1443971565) and they told me to do this:


If the Integrity Check is still hanging. This could indicate a corrupt backup
database. Power off VDR. Delete the
<destination>/VMwareDataRecovery/BackupStore.cat and
<destination>/VMwareDataRecovery/BackupStore.cat.bak files and start an
integrity check.

This will cause the engine to rebuild the catalog.


Stop VDR, ensure no operations are running in the appliance, then,
delete

//DATARECOVERY/VMwareDataRecovery/BackupStore.cat
//DATARECOVERY/VMwareDataRecovery/BackupStore.cat.bak

Then,
start the integrity check on the destination. This will fail because the catalog
is no longer present, which is expected, but at the time, it will start the
recatalog. Once the recatalog is done, start the integrity check
again.

VDR 1.1 will address a number of issues encountered in previous
releases.

暂时还未尝试,明天要去现场处理。
万一以上两个办法都不行,不知道各位有没有更好的解决方法!

当初遇到过这样的事情,联系过VMware TS,解决方案如同你KB文件内的那个。
删除文件试了好几次,还是不行。

最后,将存储目标格式掉,就此一了百了!

不管怎样,我是不相信单一的备份解决方案的。
遇到了问题,还有一种可以尝试的途径,总比没有路走要好。

多谢你的回复,今天收到客户电话。问题已经解决了!方法就是下面那段英文的解决方法,删除还原点-删除VMwareDataRecovery/BackupStore.cat /VMwareDataRecovery/BackupStore.cat.bak
-重新执行完整性检查。

所以最后放弃了VDR,转到veeam backup去了,bug没那么多,有一点点还能接受

“免费的”/“附赠的”,不能指望太多。
另外,如果VB和VMware DR如果同时使用不冲突的话、且存储空间足够的话,建议两个一起用。
